National Honor Society
National Honor Society:
- National Honor Society Student Leadership Team: Samantha Wales, Sophie Hopkins, Denny Qui, John Riley Hill, Colt Bergeron, and TJ Odom.
National Honor Society is a privilege earned not only by academic success but by being one of the brightest and most well-rounded students at Silliman Institute.
Currently, Silliman proudly has 64 active Junior National Honor Society students (7th-9th grade) and 68 active National Honor Society students (10th-12th grade).
Criteria for invitation include a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 and maintaining positive behavior and integrity. Students must also continue to meet the following requirements:
- Scholarship: Earn and maintain a 3.5 cumulative GPA
- Service Hours:
- 7th and 8th grade members must complete at least 10 hours of service to the school and/or community throughout the academic year to maintain membership.
- 9th – 12th grade high school service hours will count toward service for National Honor Society.
- Leadership: Being positive and showing leadership qualities
- Citizenship: Taking part in various clubs and activities
- Character: Good behavior
