Four senior athletes sign letters of commitment!

Wednesday, April 13th Seniors John Dylan Cook, Mark Gill, and Tyler LeJeune signed their letter of commitment papers to play football at the next level.   Senior Baleigh Bellue also signed her letter of commitment paper to compete in track hurdles at the next level.  Johyn Dylan and Tyler both signed with Millsaps College in Jackson, MS.  Mark signed with Trinity International University in Deerfield, IL.  Baleigh signed with Belhaven University in Jackson, MS.  These athletes were joined by their parents, family, friends, Silliman administration & staff, the 2015 State Champion football teammates, and track teammates.  Congratulations we wish yall the best! Basketball All Tournament & All Star Teams

Several basketball players were recognized for their post season play.  Mary Brighton Morris, Ryleigh McManus and Kayla McNabb were named to the All South State Tournament Team.  Ryleigh McManus was also named to the All State Tournament Team. Mary Brighton Morris and Keith Elkins were both named and played in the MAIS ALL Star game.  Games were played Saturday, March 5th.  Both Mary Brighton and Keith's teams won their games!...

Three football players sign to play college ball!

Thursday, February 4th Seniors Will Douglas, Zach Kelly, and Jimmy Gurzynski signed their letter of commitment papers to play football at the next level.   Will signed with The University of Southeastern Louisiana as a preferred walk-on, Zach signed with Princeton University and Jimmy signed with Southwestern University at Kansas.  The boys were joined by their parents, family, friends, Silliman administration & staff,  and their 2015 State Champion football teammates.  Congratulations boys! Callie signs to play college softball!

IMG_0074Senior Callie Venable signed to play softball with Jones County Junior College Friday, January 15th.  Those joining her celebration were her parents Joe and Wendy Venable, administrator Ann Kent, athletic director T.J. Davis, and softball coaches Trae Weaver and Rick Hurst.  Also present were her softball teammates and many other family members, Silliman staff and friends. Callie has been a member of the Silliman Lady Wildcat Softball Team for 7 years, lettered all 7 years.  She split time behind the plate as an 8th grader, and has been the starting short stop for the past 4 years, and has done a fabulous job.  She was selected 2nd Team All-District her 8th and 9th grade seasons, 1st Team All-District her sophomore, junior and  senior seasons.  Callie was named the teams best offensive player her sophomore, junior  and senior seasons,  and team MVP her sophomore and junior seasons.  She was selected as the District Co-MVP her sophomore season and District MVP her junior and senior season.  Callie was selected as...
